Los bichitos y los pajaritos/The bugs and the birds

The Rolling Stones, The Animals, The Who, The Kinks, The Zombies o Them como otros regulares o de plano muy malos.

The Byrds.

The Beatles enseñaron el camino a The Byrds despues, cuando estos grabaron la fabulosa Mr. Tambourine Man -Click here to listen Mr-Tambourine Man- el esplendido trabajo de guitarra de McGuinn influencio a Harrison en If I Needed Someone -Click here to listen If I Needed Someone-

In 1965, the USA lived two musical facts of huge importance. On the rigth hand the British invasion - the original and the only one- with good groups as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Animals, The Who, The Kinks, The Zombies or Them and, of course, some other regular bands or definitively a bunch of very bad ones.
In home, on the other hand, in the West Coast, mainly in California and specifically in San Francisco and Los Angeles began the sicodelia, influenced clearaly, on many ways, by the consumption of drugs and groups with so strange names as The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Quick Silver Messenger Service or Big Brother and The Holding Company emerged with a proposal that baptism like Acid Rock

Within all that mess of very long names and Flower Power all around was born one group with a very short name: The Byrds.
Its musical style was somewhat different, and far from interpreting acid rock they did an impeccable mix of Dylan's american folk with the melody and the vocal harmonies of The Beatles at the style of the tune What You're Doing plus the unmistakable style of the twelve cords Rickenbacker guitar by Roger McGuinn

Peculiarly both groups ended influencing one each other, cuz, although, The Beatles taught the way to The Byrds, later, when these recorded the fabulous Mr. Tambourine Man
-Click here to listen Mr-Tambourine Man-, the splendid work of guitar by McGuinn influenced in Harrison to interpret If I Needed Someone. -Click here to listen If I Needed Someone-

This mutual influence frame a stage for both groups, although finally The Beatles also explore the sicodelia with great success, while The Byrds flew, so before they contributed with its sand granite and leaving a marked influence in the more important pop group of the rock history: our The Beatles.
